Teaching Experience:

Taught medical students, psychiatric interns and residents, child and forensic psychiatry fellows, physicians and mental health workers of all specialties.

Organized and taught numerous different courses in psychiatry and forensic psychiatry at Walter Reed to psychiatric residents and fellows.

Gave lectures in various behavioral science and psychiatry courses at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and numerous other venues.

Chaired or participated in residency evaluation committees.

Taught Saint Elizabeths Hospital, Howard University and Walter Reed psychiatry residents, Saint Elizabeths Forensic Psychiatry Fellows, and numerous other disciplines throughout the Washington DC area.

Currently teach psychiatric residents from Georgetown and Howard and medical students from USHUS and GW while they rotate through the Washington DC VA.

Forensic and Expert Witness Experience:

Testified in numerous trials, for Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine and civilian courts, for both the defense and prosecution.

Areas of testimony include suicide, competency, reactions to rape, PTSD, dissociative experiences, pathological gambling, child sexual abuse, delusional disorder, mother-infant bonding.

Crimes include forgery, rape, homicide, child sexual abuse and AWOL/UA. Evaluated hundreds more cases.

Conducted sanity boards on detainees in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Evaluated correctional issues at Guantanamo Bay, Camp Bucca, and Abu Ghraib. Served as defense consultant in capital cases.

Testified in "FD 12" probable cause cases in Wash DC.

Work with the Public Defense Service in Maryland on cases involving veterans.

Worked with the Public Defense Service in Maryland on cases involving veterans.

Currently serves as consultant and/or expert witness in selected cases.
